Mancunian Dialect

"I'm gonna jib it on the Met"
I am going to ride on the Metrolink without paying for a ticket.

"Swags on?!"
Could I have a sip of your drink please, Sir?

Also when I was at uni nobody knew what "waggin' it" meant (as in skiving school/work).

Are we the only one who say 'nish' and 'nowt' instead of 'nothing'?
Yorkshire and Lancashire say nowt too, not just Manchester.

Scrike - v. to cry; as in "stop scriking ya mardarsed twat" = "don't cry you big softie"
