Sizz Bar, Sizz Bar Brick (??) whilst flapping your hand

in stockport they say `paggard` which means pissed or totally fucked
and an old one you don`t hear much these days is `fow` (ugly)
as in look at that bird over there she`s minging or
she`s FOW as fuck!!

Alot of what you said was probably correct but you`ve taken it far too serious, everyone knows where `dibble` derives from but is still a commonly used word by mancunians as is goosed, skriking, mard & ginnle.
As for `new mancunian` this accent has been around for generations spread all across Gtr Manchester from the inner city areas of Manchester & salford to the new estates of the slum clearances of the 60`s & 70`s.
As for your cumbrian bollocks it sounds like farmers slang for counting sheep!!
What a lot of crap to suggest all Mancs had one accent, accents are not and never have been uniform in Manchester or any other place.brass neck said:DAKOVICH said:This was quite funny brassneck until you added your 100 miles from Manchester take on the subject.

Ha ha ha id prefer to count them than what you do with them...Your right goosed. ginnle mard skriking are used by Mancunians but the thread was titled MANCUNIAN WORDS. As for the accents, listen to Davey Jones (of the monkeys fame) in the corronation street as a kid, he was from deepest Manchester, there wasnt a nasle sound to his accent, not one eee-aaaahh, no "sorrrtiiid" in evidence, the accsent much like the Australian accsent was totally made up in a attempt to distinguish one group from another.
well liam gallagher from Gorton or wherever it is speaks like it, as does shaun ryder from little hulton its fake and totally pretentious!!!!!! quite a big area to have the same accsent, little hulton is nearer bolton than manchesterDoctor Congo said:What a lot of crap to suggest all Mancs had one accent, accents are not and never have been uniform in Manchester or any other place.
