Think the club obviously think they will get a fee and he is decent cover as he was in the games he played in 2017/2018.

He is definitely a better player then we give him credit for and certainly a lot better than some of the defenders at most of the teams in the Premier League (definitely better than JFE).

Think the club is also showing a bit of loyalty to a player who’s has been injured for all of 2018 and who has in his time here conducted himself very well.

A well deserved contract extension after his performances & loyalty last season, im happy to see him stay for a little longer. He's happy to be 5th choice centre back, never ever complains, is never in the media & is a smiley character. Played a big role in both trophy wins last season & if he would have gone to Crystal Palace we would have signed Johnny Evans. Thank you Mangler.
