Mansour and Khaldoon's targets

This is not a Wum. I'm sure the owners would have hoped for the last 16 at least in C.L, but like last season when Bobby was given his target, that he and the team achieved, is it reasonable to assume, based on the team that was put out at Napoli, that our target is the title. ( Full strength for a win last night we'd have been through, with loads of games left to fight for the league, but he opted for keeping players for Liverpool ). Maybe when we are discussing how Bobby got it wrong, he was going off a plan just like last season, air your opinions ;)

Can't agree with Bobbies reaction to the villarael late goal i reckon CL was a big target for him.

But i do believe we need to be winning the prem and pots regular and the CL will come one day god and the sheik willing.

i dont htikn anyone could have imagined we would end up in such a difficult group for the champs league....therefore settign a last 16 target would have proved a bit dfficult to achieve.

we should get into the champs league most seasons from now on (hopefully) so as we get used to it we should start to progress.......utd et al have been in it for the last 15 yrs and they have the experience that we dont

the prem league is undoubtedly our priority but imho it is the hardes out of the lot to win as its the longest comp.

id hope that we still go for one of the cups in a big way as they are undoubtedly our best chance on winning something purely dut to the fact that we have to win less games to get there.....i know i will prob be accused of not thinking big enough but id be very happy if we wont the league cup. I hope RM puts out a very strong team against arsenal and does play the kids as i want to win it and we are two games after that away from another final.

100% true and I said that many times on different occasions

our main target is to win the Premier League, said by Khaldoon himself.

If we go out of the CL against Bayern, IMO, we should we should put all our continued focus solely on winning the EPL with Europa League success being at the bottom of our list of priorities.

As mentioned earlier, winning the domestic championship would be a huge step in our (And Bobby's) progression and look to CL development from 2012-13 season onwards. Let's not forgot this is our debut season in the CL and we found ourselves in the most difficult group.

Personally I still think we are a few players off mounting a serious CL challenge just yet...

2011-12 Targets

1. EPL (Win)
2. FA Cup (Bonus)
3. Carling Cup (Bonus)
4. Europa League (Fuggedaboutit...)

Our target is the title, nothing else matters..... For now.
The fans target is the title but the owners target is getting as far as possible in the CL as often as possible because that's where the big money is. We might need every penny to meet FFP comfortably and if we don't get further next season then, given his CL record at Inter, RM's future could be under the microscope.

Chelsea got £45m for just getting to the QF last season whereas we'll get £25m if we go out at the group stage. Of course we all want silverware and it helps justify the money spent on us in the media's eyes but the simple truth is that the Premiership title doesn't in itself bring in any money compared to finishing second.

Whether you like it or not it's a fact. I'm happy with Mancini and would prefer stability and, to be fair, we were unlucky in the group draw. But whatever Mancini does domestically our whole future & Mancini's job depends on doing well in the CL on a regular basis.
