My question is wtf are the arabs going to do when the Oil runs out??

they are already investing in renewable stuff ....... the price of oil will rise and rise until it eventually becomes obsolete, so they will make more a more money upto that point .... and then start promoting their renewable stuff .... AS WELL AS OIL ....
dont worry, they wont be living on the streets for a good time yet ....

Got talking to an ex-pat who is helping to set up an aluminium smelting plant in UAE with the intentions of supplying the middle east (and beyond) with the materials required for construction and expansion. I am sure that, as Dubai intend to be reliant on tourism, Abu Dhabi will probably attempt to cultivate a more consistent and sustainable cross section of industries. Also it became apparent that City is probably a very good deal for them in the Abu Dhabi promotion stakes. As a guess I would say that the cost of buying and developing City would be similar to the cost of just one of the many skyscraper projects. Whilst these are impressive, none as an individual project would have the same world promotional impact as a successful City would have on the World Premier League stage and the publicity for AD that that would bring.
