No it isn't. If you accept everything regardless of the outcome then you're going to become complacent. Our Champions League campaign this season wasn't good enough, neither domestic Cup has been won (an out of form Liverpool might win both), we threw away a 5 point lead in the Premiership, had a player refuse to warm up and had another been unable to resist his aggressive playing style despite chance after chance.

Mancini has lots to improve on next season. I'd be disturbed if he didn't agree that we can improve. Deeply disturbed.

This thread looks pathetic – really childish. I cringe at the attitude of some that people are somehow stuck in the past with little city syndrome if they want mancini to stay. Fans invest a lot of emotion into the club and for all mancini’s faults people like him and they like him being city’s manager – that is very important to many people and they shouldn’t be belittled. It’s not just about stats and facts for fans – if it was people would spend Saturday afternoon browsing the stock exchange instead of going to the match.
The board will no doubt see things much more analytically and make the decision they see fit – and the fans that back mancini will be fine with it and they will back the next manager. I’m sure some will say that’s blind faith/blue tinted specs/Liverpool-itis. It’s not it’s just about wanting the man in charge to be successful.
It’s fine for people to think mancini should be kept/sacked but some of the comments from both sides of the fence in this thread are pretty embarrassing. It’s not about being proved right or wrong. We’re all city fans – just have a civilised debate.
