Honestly, I hope this guy doesnt come.
Mbete and THB deserve the chance.

Too late - it’s happening.

THB is on loan for the season as it is, so isn’t an option - and Mbete needs minutes to develop, so will hopefully secure a loan of his own.

Them being out on loan is better for their development than sitting on the bench for a season and playing with the EDS.

This is the best solution all round - which is why the Club are doing it.
 
Would of been better keeping thb that signing this guy because he could of had the minutes this guy would get
 
Didn't Pep once say that he doesn't teach tackling because if you have to go to the floor, it shows you were positionally wrong in the first instance?

Could it be Akanji's quick thinking (mental arithmetic genius), brilliant passing stats & his electric pace that negates the need for him to be involved in last ditched, body on the line tackling?

For me this sounds more like a plus than a negative.
Yep and having someone with a different skillset to our other CBs, not least one with genuine pace, not only adds to our overall options but also reduces our reliance on Walker in terms of defending a pacy counter
