Great, so when the chips were down and we limped to our worst season in a decade, we had Akanji at the heart of it, probably sums it up.

Pep didn't throw a teenager into a shit show, in fact the one time he did, Akanji threw Khusanov under the bus and nearly crushed the lads confidence in the first 5mins. After that Pep kept him away, it's smart management.

Theres a reason Akanji is going to the Turkish league, if hes so good we should have the European elite lining up for him, no?
 
I think he has been great for us, one of our best value signings, if he wants to stay and fight happy days.
 
these Turkish rumours are hard to believe. they agreed with Gundo more than a month ago and nothing of that now. they are chasing Ederson but wouldnt be surprised if none of that is true.
now Akanji agreed on price, who hasnt even heard of this.

good thing is not much left of the window and actually wouldnt mind if window would close a day before PL kicks off. too much fucking nonsense.
 
This would be a really silly by us, yes Akanji was poor last season but so many other players we're the exact same.

Akanji has been a fantastic signing for us, he's only really been getting injuries last season being in and out of the side, plus we've still Stones and Ake who can pull up at any time and leaves us down to the bare bones at the back.

I hope we hold onto Akanji, get the lad back into form and we've a good player.
 
So far this window a lot on here don’t want ederson to go don’t want arkanji to go don’t want gundo to go and don’t want savinho to go so basically don’t want to sell anyone and keep the same old team that fell of a cliff . All them players are now past what we require and not good enough .

I think we'll see Ederson, Akanji, Gundogan and Savinho all departing, I'd be happy enough with that if it was making room for Donnarumma and Rodrygo.

I still think we should hold onto Akanji, just because we have Ake and Stones who are made of wet bog roll.

Was a great signing for the money, and playing as a central defender was excellent, ok at right back. But as Pep wants the full backs to push into midfield he looks tactically unaware and doesn’t have that skill or resilience. Walker was the same whose major asset was pace, couldn’t use that in midfield. Akanji is probably one of the squad we could dispense with.
 
I got doubts about Akanji after his comments about the CWC after playing half the season. The fact he's replying to transfer accounts on Instagram is a bit strange too.

If we let both him and Ake go, i'd be slightly worried about cover though.
Dias, Stones, Gvardiol, Kushanov have a lot of injuries in them.

Should never have loaned Bah and Reis out
 
Treble season he was excellent, since he has gradually got less impressive, any sale will be the last time anyone will get a fee for him so for me we sell.

And if it is a choice between keeping him or Ake, well Akanji goes 100% Ake is a far superior footballer and defender

I think we can conclude we have seen the best of Ed, Gundog and Akanji and all have made massive contributions I would confidently predict we would win little this season if that trio were regular starters.Simply put their race here is run. Sav is a different kettle of fish and we will find out over the next week what happens him.
