Maradona returns to management!

The Al Wasl Football club announced on Monday that the 50-year-old is to pen a two-year contract, filling the void created by the dismissal of Brazilian coach Sergio Farias.

Al-Wasl sit fourth in the UAE Football League table with five games of their season remaining but have ambitious plans for the future and hope Maradona will help them to hit those targets.

"Al-Wasl Sports Club is proud to announce the appointment of Diego Armando Maradona as head coach of Al-Wasl Football Club, in a momentous development that will see the football legend lead the team for the next two seasons," the club said in a statement.
