Nice to see him supporting his son in law yesterday, but i wonder if that article was right about Aguero being better off at Madrid. If true, i wonder if he still feels the same after that epic night last night.

Any footy guy in South America will name Barca and Real Madrid as the places to be, it´s just a thing that have been there for 60 years almost when they started signing players from there after the war.

Thought I remembered him saying he is watching City recently since Sergio signed for us.

Diegoooooo dieeegoooooo ole ole ole oleeeeee diegooooo diegoooooo!!

On a serious note, I can understand why Diego said this. Aguero should have been on a top top side a few years ago, this would also guarantee a spot as a starter in the national side.

When Aguero signed, City was a project not a reality. Aguero had already spent a lot of time in a project that never became reality so I can see why he would say so. He's only looking out for his grandkid, Diego is a good guy all in all, he's just a bit insane and not too bright, I'll tell you this though, he knows about football and will always keep you entertained. If he does become some sort of City fan I can see him talking shit about fergie on the news on a daily basis which should be pretty hilarious since he's so good at it.

I leave you some of his classics but many are missing:

Diego Maradona on his rival to the 'world's best ever player' award, Pele...

"Pele should go back to the museum."
Diego Maradona on the entire nation of France and its greatest football star...

"We all know what the French are like and Platini as a Frenchman thinks he knows it all."

Diego Maradona on fatherhood...

"My legitimate kids are Dalma and Giannina. The rest are a product of my money and mistakes."

Diego Maradona on sportsmanship...

"I was waiting for my teammates to embrace me and no one came, ... I told them, 'Come hug me or the referee isn't going to allow it.'"

Diego Maradona on smashing the car of a photographer...

"I did it with the hand of reason."

Diego Maradona on being voted Fifa's joint Player of the Century...

"The people voted for me. Now they want me to share the prize with Pele. I'm not going to share the prize with anybody."

Diego Maradona on World Cup 1998, and clearly not anticipating this one...

"The players have all got square feet. They are like Robocops, they have more need of lubricant than massage. I don't believe the tournament could be worse."

Diego Maradona on American politics...

"I think Bush is a murderer. I'm going to head the march against him stepping foot on Argentine soil."

Diego Maradona on proving the doubters wrong...

"To those who did not believe: now suck my d**k - I'm sorry ladies for my words - and keep on sucking it. I am either white or black. I will never be grey in my life. You treated me as you did. Now keep on sucking d**ks. I am grateful to my players and to the Argentinian people. I thank no one but them. The rest, keep on sucking d**ks."

Think Diego may have changed his mind about us last night when he found out how tasty the stadium pies are. He does look like a pie connoisseur

Seeing footage of one of greatest footballers in the world ever, celebrating City win a derby is enough for me. Sure he wasn't at York but with his life style perhaps he'd had a heavy night before the game (sniff!) and sold his ticket to another Blue.
