Just my opinion of course as different views are also valid to be in the mix.! Our first choice full backs for most games will be Walker and Cancelo (even if Cucu had signed). If Walker is injured/needs a rest, Cancelo will move to RB. Depending on who we're playing, there will be some games where Ake or even LaP will play LB and in early cup games JWE will get a run out and he will be a regular sub. Our essential need for a more specialised left footed LB will most likely be confined to a few big games against fast wingers. I think Chelsea will have offered Cucu a more regular place than that so the talk of not paying the price may not in the end be the key factor for him, though it is clearly to Brighton's advantage so fair play to them..

Of course. Cancelo is the best left back in the Prem, no doubt about that.
 
Too many people carping about Txiki on this thread. He's usually a dab hand at this negotiating lark, but, according to some, seems to be floundering.
He’s also the man who sold Zinny without a replacement prepared. Food for thought. No one is immune to some criticism.
