I dont get this the goal post keep moving. When you first came in for him it was reported that it would have to be a mega amount for Brighton to sell. All i know is the media have made up the £50m, that now looks like it true. Its not that we said ok £30m, and as soon as city take an intrest upped the valuation ny £20m.

No-one on here knows that mate, as we aren’t the ones actually making decisions about whether we buy or not.

You’d have to say it’s unlikely, given we clearly have no interest in the player at £50m - but it’s possible if we’d known that was the price from the start, we might have viewed it differently.

As I’ve said before - if you listen to our Chief Exec way before any of this started, left back just wasn’t a priority for us this summer.

I just don’t think we had any appetite to invest £50m into a position we weren’t prioritising - release clause or not.

We didn’t need Grealish to fill any English or home grown quota either. We bought him because we wanted him and were willing to pay what it cost.
