Sometimes I have a feeling we are not drawing conclusions from the past. That using Fernandinho as an RB and this 1 vs 1 against Vinicius is suddenly acceptable by everyone. That injury crisis in defense is OK. When Klopp has convenience because his squad is deeper in terms of 2-3 positions, then Guardiola has to cope with tough situations because of very short options. Is this not the sporting director's fault? Right now, we are relying on Palmer if Mahrez would get injured and we don't have any natural left-back whilst we need 1-2. It's unfair even for Pep and for the fans not to sign at least one LB specialist. We have not even tried to look into Theo Hernandez situation before he has signed a new contract, we are reluctant to pay what Brighton wants for Cucurella, so who will be our LB? Nathan Ake who is CB? Or we have to sell him or natural RB Cancelo to finally realize "Oh, we don't have left-backs whilst United has 3 players in this position". It's very strange squad planning, irresponsibility for me, and a risky game after selling Zinchenko not to have 100% guarantees to sign Cucurella. Guys, we are not talking about wishes from the cosmos like Neymar but about obligations.
You should return to being a Liverpool fan mate this club is clearly not up to your standards.

Disagree.

Our defensive crisis during the RM tie was comparable to the Liverpool defensive crisis of the year before, its just that it didn't get mentioned and DID cost us the CL final spot (and nearly cost us the PL). But these things happen.

As for Klopp's squad being deeper in 2 or 3 positions, you fail to mention the other 8 or 9 ?

If Mahrez got injured both Foden OR Bernardo are options as well as Alvarez (not seen how good he is there, but know he's played there) OR Palmer.

We do need to sign a left-back (in whatever guise that may come), but that's please don't forget that wer already have arguably the PL's best playing there already, even if he isn't left-footed (I personally wouldn't swap Cancelo for anyone, unless we are looking at playing him at RB).

As for Utd having 3 LB's, can you tell me who these miracle players are ?

What we know is that with approx. 70m in the bank, we can pretty much make a competitive offer (and their current clubs think) for most LB's in the world..... so maybe this is what we're weighing up. 50m on Cucurella OR 80m on Alphonso Davies ?

Either way, some people need to calm down. We won the PL & got to the CL semis last year, and won the PL and got to the CL final the year before that. Txiki is more than doing his job and will continue to do so.

Excellent post

Tell me, what have trophies in common in relation to not signing an obligatory left-back?

Because your idea is to fight with me with counterarguments about TROPHIES and "i don't care, we have Guardiola".

Zero in common that situation in relation to trophies. Left-back is a fuckin obligation and we are unable to cover this position for years for unknown reasons.

But for someone, it's childish behavior that someone is talking about a position that shouldn't be a problem like in any other club.

If you have no guarantee you would sign Cucurella, you are not going to sell Zinchenko.
