Marc Cucurella

With all due respect, you have typed utter codswallop.

In what way have we handled the transfer ‘very badly’ ? Do care to explain ?

We don’t value Cucurella at the price Brighton are prepared to sell him for and therefore have walked away from the deal (correctly in my opinion). If we paid 50 m for a full back that’s achieved nothing in the game and had one good season (even then only managed 1 assist all season for an attacking full back) we’d be a laughing stock in the market.

You sound like a spoilt child that can’t have another shiny new toy.

The business we have done in this window is incredible so far.
“ if we paid 50M for a full back thats achieved nothing or had one good season “ etc
You mean like WE did with Mendy

Anybody questioning Pep or Txiki is a moron. Sorry. It’s true.
They know more than I could ever wish to. But to act as if they are infallible is just stupid. Everyone makes mistakes and if we don’t sign another full back then yes despite what the club think or don’t think I believe it is a huge mistake.

anyways have a good day not gonna bother engaging with someone who is so quick to insult other city fans. Not worth my time

Can I throw my 2p's worth in. The people involved with City's transfers have been mostly bang on the money.
So, what would you say if Brighton valued Cucu at 100m, should we of just splash the cash. There's so much going on in these transfers, let's leave it to the ones with all the facts at their disposal.

Losing yesterday might help Pep get Cuc. Cancelo gave Salah the freedom of Leicester yesterday. Not winning the CS highlights how much we need this position to be sorted. Hopefully the board have more impetus to get the deal done...
Are you headline writer for the Liverpool Echo in your spare time?
;-)

yep that’s it mate. The club never make mistakes. I guess we should just close the forum down then as no point discussing anything as seemingly its all perfectly in hand.

Resorting to personal insults to. How lovely. What a charmer you are.
Thats correct. The club and Txiki are perfect and its not possible to do anything better. Even if you think the club and Txiki are doing great in 95% of all areas, if you suggest that there is room for improvement in the remaining 5% that can only mean you are either a Chelsea fan, a rag, or just a simple wum. At least its proven that you are without a doubt not a City fan, since no real City fan would ever have the audacity to suggest something the club does could be done better. Txiki obviously knows better than any of us, so that means none of us could have an opinion thats anything but 100% positive about what he does. If you think he did a great job with signing Haaland, that automatically means he is also doing a great job with signing a new fullback. Just like we cant complain about our players performances in any game either, since they are all better footballers than us fans, we have no right to have anything but positive opinions about their performances. Anyone who suggest Txiki could or should have done one thing better is obviously a complete moron, as everyone knows, all smart people blindly believes everything another human do or say is perfect.

Whilst i understand the “have a valuation and stick to it line”, when we’ve been so clearly focussed on 1 player for the position I’m starting to lose a bit of faith that its the only route.

I had assumed we would soften to 45 or so and the deal would be done with add ons. But we’re seemingly not budging as much as Bloom isnt budging.

If the club think he’s good enough, the £10-15m value difference shouldnt be the only reason not to pull the trigger.
