Marc Guehi | City strong contenders for transfer this month (p60)

Easy to see how he improves liverpool, but they are bulking at his wages, which leaves us needing a fit back up to Gvardiol and Dias, he can do that, he is fit and a good player, but do we want a player that will always be a back up , or do we want a player that has strength's where our first choices have weaknesses.

If he could get him, Guehi could be our number one centre back, Gvardiol can play at left back also. It would be great business if we could get it through.

If we could get this done it would be amazing. However, if we do go in for him there will undoubtedly be competition from other clubs plus Palace are under no obligation to sell... Could be tricky and could also depend on where the player himself would ultimately want to go. Dippers can offer guaranteed starting immediately plus VVD is on the way out so that armbands will be up for grabs soon as well. Who knows? Fingers crossed, it would be a fantastic signing

If I'm Guehi id do a Marmoush and ask for £300k per week. We'd probably end up paying it again because Pep doesn't seem to rate Khusanov so we are hand cuffed. If Nico is fit i could see Rodri playing centre back at this rate.

The Exeter cup draw has ended up being an absolute godsend. Max Alleyne is definitely starting that one and i would imagine all the other kids will as well.

He would not be backup - he could play with anyone. Pep would probably rotate between Dias, Gvardiol, Ake and Khusanov when all are fit. Lot of games coming up.

Was Khusanov not brought on before Ake yesterday?
surely that puts him as 3rd choice behind only Dias and Gvardiol atm?
stones obvs doesn't count.

I think Ake would have come on before Khusanov had his knee not been strapped together. I dont think the plan was for Ake to play at all because he also got injured in the Sunderland game.

He can play with anyone, and when he plays with Dann Burn who is the better player and why, why is it he improved when Palace signed Lacroix,, who would be our big man at the back, our leader, our powerhouse, our ball carrier, he is a good player reliable and cheap, but does he improve us, and can we get better, or at least a better balance for our defence.

I hope he's interested to move to us now. Gvardiol reportedly has a future in midfield, it frees up Nico to play in midfield also, and he has every opportunity to become a first choice centre back for us.

If United make a move for Glasner, possibly also as soon as January, then palace will struggle further and comes down to how loyal he wants to be, which is fair enough. Whereas come to City, work with Pep for sure before he gives the media their wish and retires, have a solid chance of developing as a better player and getting medals round his noggin both domestically and on a European level.

We were obviously in for him anyway, so this is just an injury crisis bringing forward our plans. Hope we can bring him in, but it's a weird league this year, and even though they're 14th, Palace are still only four points off 5th, so you never know whether they'd be willing to (probably) sacrifice a chance to go for European football for the sake of a relatively small payday. Then again, they're also not really at risk of relegation, so it's a risk-free sale from that POV too.

We would have to give him an 8 year deal for him to get his big pay day if he went on a free in the summer.. plus 25m to palace for him plus some payment to his agent. the deal then may is possible I believe we are asking the question if it’s possible…

So Girona one place above the drop zone with a GD of -17, second worst in La Liga.
As I posted earlier, that doesn’t suggest to me he’s doing that well (?) - though I don’t watch their matches so don’t really know.

Maybe the club do know what they are doing? I’m not gonna be quick to judge them on this, and if he does start v Exeter, really keen to see how Alleyne gets on - fingers crossed!
Crystal Palace won 2 league games since October, took 6 points out of 24, but we should be piling in for Guehi?
