Marc Guehi | Leading target for City (p28)

Getting him and Semenyo would be a very good window but lots of competition and tough to see through.

Pretty sure Guehi would be £10m plus Bobb.

If Liverpool are still in for Guehi you would think they’d be slight favourites. They did a deal with him in the summer, there’s an open spot now with Konate being rubbish and if he prefers playing left Van Dijk will be gone soon enough.

At City he’s competing with Dias, Gvardiol and Stones. I can only see us pushing for him if Ake is gone.

Stones will be gone in the summer as well, no way it’s worth extending him
 
It would be interesting to see who or how many of the 3 centre halfs we brought in, in the summer are deemed good enough for first team action.
Kushanov seems to be hampered by the extra 5m mil we have to pay Lyon if he starts more games. Viktor Ries seems to be flourishing at Girona and looks like a possible Stones replacement, whilst Bah isn't getting any meaningful game time and is being rested in a poor team at Nice.

The make up of the defence for next season seems very 'up in the air' at the moment, if John and Nathan go.

This is an obvious nonsense. It was a made up narrative to try to justify why he didn’t play much at the ned of last season.

He’s played since and we’d have had to pay the extra money anyway.

His issue is his technical deficiency on the ball.

Unfortunately thats so true. The lad has been brilliant for us over the many years here, but with his poor injury record there can be no room for sentiment, as we`ve proven with KDBs departure.
Eccles Blue will be crying in her handbag for years once he`s gone. ;)

Viana has no emotional attachment either like Txiki may have had? Agree though, Stones has been amazing and its such a shame he has had so many injuries but we cant keep carrying him and i assume his injuries may even get worse as he gets older.
