Marc Guehi | Staying at Palace

Pass. its gonna be Stones that'll need replacing first at CB most likely and both Guehi and Branthwaite are left sided.

Scalvini would suit the stones role if that stays a thing with Rico playing as he is. Diomande if we stick with the RB being the floater into CM
 
We’ve plenty of good centre backs, and whilst I’m sure Guehi is decent I don’t think he’s better than any of ours. Also not worth £70m.

Having said that, I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea end up signing him for about £80m on an 8 year contract. They actually need him though, all their centre backs are shit.

We do not need a lefty in my opinion. We have a young Gvardiol, Ake and potentially Doyle.

This account has been spot on about almost everything this summer. Used to be a laughing stock, but it’s said that the account was sold to a small number of journalists who uses it to post info they don’t want to attach their own name to. The transfer itself seems a bit pointless to me, especially after signing Khusanov, Reis and Bah (who looks like an incredible bargain) in January. Like Donnarumma he’s also pretty bad playing out from the back

Palace have agreed on fees to Liverpool but he doesn’t want to go! He wants regular game time and go on a free next season
 
While Akanji and Ake are linked with exits and Stones is in his final year of contract, we still have Dias, Gvardiol, Khusanov, Reis and Bah on our books. So can’t see this one having any legs at all
 
There was an interview with him (BBC I think) that I read on Saturday in which he mentioned that all his friends are in Liverpool and Manchester. He'd been linked to Liverpool so seemed an odd thing to say, whether true or not.
 
A huge yes from me! Khusanov is unproven, Ake and Stones injured too often, Dias been average for over a season now and weak in the air. Reis and Bah not even with us at the moment.

Guehi would be a great signing, proper PL defender, strong, quick, decent in the air - better than any defender we have apart from Gvardiol and a fully fit Stones.
