Marc Guehi | Staying at Palace

Would he be interested in being 3rd/4th option for a season? Dias, Gvardiol, Stones would clearly be higher up in pecking order
 
Would be good signing we have a lot of defenders but Bah Reis are loaned out, Stones is always injured and final year of contract, Ake and Akanji might be sold.

We need home grown players

Yeah when it comes to this sort of thing there’s much much worse examples out there in my opinion. He sounds like a genuine lovely bloke with a big religious background.
 
I’d also have him here all day but would need to sell both Akanji and Ake for it to happen.

Also makes integrating Bah/Reis into the team next year hard as you’d imagine they would have replaced Stones and Ake

That's the one. He wore the armband and added a perfectly acceptable message. Unlike, like you say, other players that refused to wear it all together.

Seemed a thinly veiled excuse IMO, plenty of other footballers stick it on and don’t feel the need to comment or draw attention away from the LBGTQ+ community. His dad came out and said some questionable remarks at the time too. This thread has nothing to do with the Ipswich captain but fuck him too.

Nobody should be forced to wear a symbol if they don't want to, same for a Poppy etc.
 
Stones will inevitably break down in a few games and is probably in his last season anyway, Akanji can go, Dias is horribly out of form and has been for some time.

Would walk into our team alongside Gvardiol, sign him up.
 
We could do with someone like Guehi. We need pace and physicality in the back line. Someone who steps forward aggressively and has recovery pace to deal with counter attacks. He's HG as well. For the price, I think if we let go of Ake and Akanji, I'd be bringing him in if we can.
