Much prefer him in that role.I agree. He can do the ferna role quite well. Great passer, great technique and calm on the ball.

IMO not many criticize but too few praise.He always does ok when he plays, I can't understand the flak he gets on here.
We're lukewarm to him.

Looks like it'll be Douglas Luiz.
I appreciate the worry but i think it's overblown,he was out 5-6 games last season and we didn't skip a beat from what i recall and yaya was barely used all season,it is unfortunate that we didn't get Jorginho as we would have been stronger for it but with dinho managed well he can easily do another season imo
That is kind of the worry, that he did so well and as you say Yaya never played. There was time when rotation of other players was done but when Yaya started instead the drop was so notable it was very rare Pep would do it.
I just think this season we had so little we needed to improve that this was the area, so why not fix it??
I know it’s not always that simple, let’s hope when the season starts people are not about talking about it.

I think Mino was unhappy that Kante was being linked with his clients position and wanted to make a point to PSG. I understand the approach was real but not entirely genuine imo..
Not a great fan of Mino, but certainly knows how to play the game!!

On last season, but season before he was an important player.
I think the fact Yaya played so little last season creates a false impression that someone is needed.
If the drop in quality from Fern to Yaya had not become so vast, I think we would have seen more rotation keeping Fern fresh.

We do have the best manager to make a square peg in a round hole work if the worst happens.
