One thing I wonder with Lopes tonight - one of their coaches had recently commented that he could project as a wide left AM. They might be trying him out over there. Doesn't help though if no one can get the ball to him.

This is where he usually ends up when he plays. He starts in the middle then they push him out wide. Would be good for us when he gets back so Silva/Nasri can occupy the central roles in a 4-2-3-1.

This game they keep getting it to Corchia on the right wing, who is a pretty inept fullback, yet alone winger. They seem so incapable of playing even simple passes to each other, they are constantly misplacing easy through balls. In summary, they are shit. They should put him at 10 and then try as hard as they can to get him the ball, as that seems the only way they might not be so shit.

The only way to describe them playing like this! I go to a few Dundee Utd games when I can and they player better stuff than this, surprising how poor the French teams below the top group are, I can barely think of one single well put together attack in the whole of this game by either team.

This is utter shite. Lille seem incapable of putting 5 passes together without someone knocking it back to a defender, who lumps it long to no one in particular. They don't even seem to have any players capable of holding up a long ball, so what the fuck they hope to achieve is beyond me..

It was frustrating as fuck in the last game & it was obvious that Lopes was their best way to improve their play. Why the coach doesn't just send them out with orders to play everything through him, I don't understand. Perhaps because he knows Lopes won't be there next season & therefore doesn't want to be over reliant on him ?

Or perhaps they are just shit, as everyone is suggesting.
