Do you watch a lot of the Portugese U21's? I haven't so have no idea of who's in front of him, are they any good then?

Firstly, he has 2 appearances for the U21's, not 1 (a minor point I know, but still better to be accurate).

Secondly, they have a plethora of fantastic attacking midfield talent in their youth ranks, with Bernardo Silva, Rafa, Mane, Bruma, Ivo and others.

But more importantly, thirdly, they like to keep young players together in age groups if possible, so he stayed with the U19's untill after the U19 championships last summer as he'd played all the qualifying, after that finished he moved up to U21's. He has 20 odd games for the U19's, like most of the team who competed in the Euro's for them alongside him.

Since the summer when he moved up, he's been called up whenever he wasn't injured.
