Mario Balotelli yesterday

Balotelli was simply awesome yesterday and showed exactly why Mancini bought him here in the first place and is at pains to persevere with him.

BUT, Balotelli is a liability!!!

BUT he's our liability and Manchester City is his club now, where as when he first came here Manchester City was just a club.

All the players who came here in the first 3-4 years came for the project and the riches on offer, but yesterday those very same players created their own footballing history and the emotional attachment that comes with it.

THAT fellow blues was worth more to me than the title and THAT is what has shaken the footballing world to its core and Fergie and the foaming Rag hordes knew it!!!

No longer can they accuse our players of being mercenaries and only being at the club for the money. No longer can they question our players commitment to Manchester City. They knew we had a world-class squad of individuals, but yesterday proved beyond all reasonable doubt that we now have a world-class functioning unit.

Who watching yesterday could say the emotional response of Balotelli, Aguero, Nasri and Dzeko was anything other than unadulterated love for the club and what we've all achieved.

As I said the best thing to come out of yesterday for me was that from what I could see, Manchester City is now our players' club, the club that they, Mancini and Sheikh Mansour and the fans have created and which we all love to the core.

Duncan Castles just tweeted that Mario won't be at the parade this evening. He's on a flight back to Milan. Shame if it's true as he has been an enormous part of our success this season.

mario is already with the italian national team at coverciano , i suppose

Him and Dzeko deserve their credit.

It was a perfect ending really, they added some value to the team and got them over the line. #Together, this is the start of something big.

Biggest love in for every one at the moment hah

It's funny how he got so much stick after scoring 2 goals against Sunderland in the comeback yet it was that point that now separates City from Utd.

Lets be honest Balotelli was as important as any attacking player this season. His performance at Old Trafford is why Man City are sitting on the top of the table on goal difference.

Great contribution. Was key part of changing the game. His final touch/pass to Aguero was world class.

Could so easily have scored.
