Totally agree.

Always handy when you're given the chance to take 9 penalties in that timeSkashion said:Interesting stat in there amongst the dross. Who scored the most Serie A goals in the 2013 calendar year, that would be Mario Balotelli (whose first game was at the start of February), with 18 goals...
Aye, bet he didn't win any did he. Suppose no other teams get penalties either.pudge said:Always handy when you're given the chance to take 9 penalties in that time
Well they were given the most last season iirc.Skashion said:Aye, bet he didn't win any did he. Suppose no other teams get penalties either.pudge said:Always handy when you're given the chance to take 9 penalties in that time

I suppose if he stayed on his feet and didn't dive to try and get more he might actually score more goals. So 18 goals, with 7 coming from the spot in a calender year. Not overly impressive for someone who sits only behind Messi. Says more about Serie A's quality than it does Mario's
Negredo has 24 in the same time with 4 from the spot (from 5 attempts)
That's another set of fans fucked off with him, there has to be a common factor somewhere, surely?...
If that's true that's because they won them...pudge said:Well they were given the most last season iirc.Skashion said:Aye, bet he didn't win any did he. Suppose no other teams get penalties either.pudge said:Always handy when you're given the chance to take 9 penalties in that time

Well my memory isn't the best but a quick search of my own post history shows that your claim there is bollocks.Skashion said:If that's true that's because they won them...pudge said:Well they were given the most last season iirc.Skashion said:Aye, bet he didn't win any did he. You always bring up that quote even though I've explained it several times about it being about the previous Tuttosport Golden Boy winners, so he said he was second only to Messi in a list of about seven or eight players, and he was right about most of them, although one of them was Aguero. Says more about you that you insist on abusing a quote having had it fully explained to you.
Why are you comparing Negredo? There's another thread for that, and in that thread I have said Negredo is a better fit for us. He gives us more options (something that also is true compared to Tevez as well but for some reason that comparison hasn't been made yet...) and is a better partner for Aguero. I was quite content with the selling of Balotelli. We weren't the right club for him. I thought AC were, and perhaps they still will be. Or perhaps he will never fulfil his potential, but in the meantime he is still actually an excellent player already and has top scored for the calendar year in Serie A.
Fucked off with him? Based on what? A few posts on an English-speaking forum following an Italian football team? Should people judge City fans by what is said by foreigners in the match day threads? I could say City fans HATE ANY City player based on posts on this forum. There isn't a player for this club that hasn't been slagged off on this forum, especially from armchair fans in other countries in the match day thread. I could certainly make an extensive case that Mancini was hated based on posts on here. However, that wouldn't tally with the tens of thousands who supported him in his very last match in charge nor the amount of people who donated to put our ad in the Dello Sport. Also what's this 'another' set of fans? I don't think a majority of our fans were ever fucked off with him. There's no evidence to support that. I think you massively overvalue a small number of persistent posters. There was a considerable section of posters who never forgave Tevez, myself included, but to assert that I was in any sort of majority on that would be utterly deluded, yet under your terms, that would constitute proof that Tevez left this club a hated figure but he didn't.
I can't say for certain I am right. I might be wrong. If I am and I have falsely accused you, fair enough, sorry, but talking about post history when it comes to Mario is a bit stupid. I think that Balotelli thread reached about Part 3 Million, meaning the vast majority of posts on Balotelli no longer exist.pudge said:Well my memory isn't the best but a quick search of my own post history shows that your claim there is bollocks.
I'd love the example of my abusing of said quote and your putting me straight? Genuinely lost on that. I wouldn't want you to have prefixed your entire response with a lie, although I genuinely don't recall any instance of it
