Left out for disciplinary reasons which it was decided not to tell the press about.

Is this a fact or just speculation?

Paper talk i no but if true..... Balotelli was spotted partying by City fans the night before the Spurs game, reports The Sun.

He was seen entering the Panacea Restaurant and Bar in Alderley Edge at 1am — with City kicking off at 1.30pm against Spurs that afternoon

If true it's a joke, fair play he knew he wasn't playing but if you get dropped from the team you go home get your head down and work your arse off to get into the team, Mario will never do that..... shame because he has a real talent

If true it's a joke and no wonder he was dropped

I bought that skewing of the facts, alas he was already dropped from the squad so no rules were broken.

That said it's thought he was dropped due to disciplinary reasons.

So he was out of the squad and not injured, i don't gamble but if i were id put my house on it being disciplinary.
I may be wrong but i doubt it.

The strong rumours are that he is out late late most nights which just doesn't go well with Mancini and I would expect he is at the end of his patience with him.

even if he knew he wasn't in the squad he still shouldn't be out, he's still part of the team and what if another striker got injured in the warm up?

If he was put every night we'd know all about as he has a constant paparazzi following.

-- Tue Nov 13, 2012 10:13 am --

Eh? He wasn't on the squad sheet handed over to the officials so even if one of our strikers picked up an injury in the warm up he would be ineligible.

The Sun? You really believe the Sun we are not even in the running for Falcao and they say he will be Marios replacement. I used to read the sun when I was 15/16 for the page 3 girls. Its not even chip paper.

burn the witch

The official explanation, that he was left out for footballing reasons, is implausible. Mancini just wouldn't have picked both Garcia and Razak as subs in preference to a 4th striker.

And he had one of his better performances against Ajax, it certainly didn't merit him being dropped from the squad.

He hasn't played enough to need resting.

So there must be another reason. Either disciplinary, or poor performances in training at the end of last week.

Or it could be that the club has decided to sell him to raise money for an expensive January buy and dropping him was like putting a "for sale" sign on his head.
