No doubting that Mario is a fantastic character , and will never be forgotten here , or in England for that matter ...... but i said after his debut at Molyneux that the flaws were there for all too see , and as he left last week they were still there .... as with that other dreamer , Robinho , he'll NEVER achieve his aim of being the worlds best player.

Dont right him off yet sir, nobody knows what will happen. I personally wish the the best and hope he realizes his potential and that is all anyone could ask for.

AC Milan will play him in his best position as centre-forward and build a side around him. We weren't going to do that. There's no point being upset about it. He scored 30 goals for us, and got 4 assists for us, a number of which were crucial in winning two trophies in two years, whilst playing a fair number of his appearances on the left where we know he isn't as happy to play. We then sold him on for a profit. The transfer, overall, was a success. I don't understand how that can upset people or how they can begrudge Mario happiness in Italy after all his kind words about our club, the fans, his teammates and the manager.

What about his disrespectful comments about our food?

Yep I can't argue with it, but it still down himself if he wants to find the consistency needed to become a top player.

Really pleased for Mario. He played great and did a few pinpoint long passes which we never really saw him do for us. Wish him and De Jong all the best at Milan, would love to get them in the Champions League next season!

Bang on the money. It was great to see him looking happy tonight and the fans adoring him as well.

There really are some miserable folk on here now, that are far to dominating with their opinion and their agendas. Thank fuck they dont represent the majority of City fans, although they seem to think they do in their personal crusades.

I cannot recall ever catering for Mario with you. Though I often catered for him by myself and he was always complimentary.

No half baked comments tonight.

He was probably only being polite. You know Hawaiian Pizza isn't authentic Italian fare, don't you?

Haha I love haters you are all fuming at his success now claiming he "robbed" the club and contributed nothing? That one pass to Aguero was worth more than his wages and transfer fee add his 2 MOTM performances v the scum and his contribution to 3 trophies and your points are invalid. Instead of asking if posters are 16 I ask you if you understand basic economics and what constitutes success. His shirt as been in the top 3 world wide in sales for our club since he joined. His impact was massive and he again shows his class while you grit your teeth. You are part of the reason he left he had no chance here with bitter "fans" and bias refs who believe the red tops. When he s allowed to play on equal standing he wins the game on his debut.

Bravo Mario, bravo you haters keep hating it makes me happy.

I watched the whole game, and Balotelli was impressive. I really like the look of AC's front 3 of El Shaarawy, Balotelli, and M'Baye Niang. Niang caught my eye too, raw, promising talent. Its a shame Balotelli isn't CL eligible, would have loved to see that front 3 against Barca. I'm definitely going to be watching more of AC's matches.

Looked a lot happier with all that space and time and I'll be really happy if he does well over there. I'm still glad we sold him though - best thing for all concerned really.
