mark cavendish

Yes he has been like a rocket when in with a chance of winning the stage. Wiggins has been a sensation so far and he should get more press than what he has been doing. Nice to see Nicolas Roche doing so well in his first tour 50th place overall a decent tour so far it would be nice to see him win a stage image a father and son winning a stage in the Tour it would be a first.

No doubt that Cav is the best sprinter in the world, followed closely by big Thor, but Can has a much better team in Columbia-HTC to get him into the sprint position -- Mark Renshaw is an awesome lead-out rider.

I reckon Thor would be all but as good if he had a better team to get him into a sprint position.

Having said that, Thor has the green jersey...

Blimey, the man just keeps on going! Hope it lasts as long as possible.

In all serious, the British cycling team in general are great, and we should be proud of them.

We just need a guy to compete for the Yellow Jersey now. Maybe Wiggins is stepping up to the plate? Only 40odd secs behind the pace at the mo which is pretty damn good. We need him to be able to launch attacks in the mountains but I just don't think he's got it in him to do so this time around.

It's a shame women's cycling doesn't get the press it deserves because in Nicole Cook we do have one of the best in the world on the road.
