Mark Clattenburg

That was a referee looking at 'any' opportunity to give a penalty against us. Clattenburg thought he had found that with the Sterling incident (I refuse to call it a handball) as it happens it was so far off a penalty that he has exposed himself for the corrupt c*nt he he is.

They must bring in after game interviews for refs to explain the controversial decisions. These cunts drop bombs every game and walk away laughing up their sleeves...all the way to the bank

^^This, Managers are forced to speak to the TV people, why not referees.... They should be miked up ala Rugby Union also.... too much cloak and fucking dagger for my liking...

Yes Clattenwig is a twat but when you look at the bigger picture we have the best squad but poor manager and that is the reason we will not win anything this season

i have never believed that ref's are actually bought - ive believed they have favourites or are 'swayed' by certain personalities in football - but not actually told, from a institution down, to fix specific games.

but the 1st half was slow and pretty shit. The commentators on my feed throughout the 1st half said the game had a feel to it that one moment of quality or one decision could seal it or at the least make it come to life. The you get that penalty and the game is excellent to watch for a neutral.

Think of the new TV deals, the insanity money and the need to get global dominance on people screens in Asia/Africa. you have to have drama, you absolutely have to, otherwise they all switch off.

I still dont think that Clattenberg is paid/bribed but i do think there was a hush hush meeting at the beginning of this season that basically ran the lines of 'make some very risky decisions, you'll be immune'

A referee cannot give a penalty decision unless he is 100% sure , he was the wrong side of Sterling he couldnt see where the ball hit him , he went off the spuds players reaction and their knobhead fans in that corner , when a referee consistently gives dodgy decisions against the same team , questions have to be asked , i won't hold my breath.

Let me tell you a little story about Mr Clattenburg that I know is 100% true as we were told it by a senior member of staff at a Points of Blue meeting a few days after the incident occurred.

He was the ref when Adebayor scored that goal against Arsenal and ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal fans and booked him. Hughes was told it was for unsporting conduct and that went in his report. The next morning, Sunday, the FA chairman (an Arsenal fan called Ian Whatmore) was on 5 Live and said that the FA would be taking action against Adebayor, both for that and the kick at van Persie. This was despite the fact that the relevant panel hadn't even met and discussed it.

However there was a problem with taking action against his goal celebration as the ref, Clattenburg, had seen it and dealt with it, meaning that retrospective action couldn't be taken under the rules. So Clattenburg re-wrote his report to claim that he'd booked Adebayor for time-wasting. This meant the FA could then charge him with unsporting conduct. So the man is plainly a liar and a cheat.
