Allegedly... He's just doing the FAs bidding. Since spurs are to use Wembley next season, they want to max out attendance with day trippers going to a top 4 / champions league game. It's the FAs cash cow next season. Yes, this is a wild conspiracy theory but it fits...

The pisscan could have refereed with the ticket tout and granny shagger running the lines and they wouldn't have given that penalty. Clattenburg has proven himself to be a cheat of the highest order, he "guessed" at a decision going absolutely against the golden rule of refereeing.

Or maybe they'd take an extra few seconds when out on the pitch when making potential game changing decisions. As they know they will be in front of the camera...
If clattenburg came out after the game yesterday and said from my view and at the pace of the game I saw it as handball we wouldn't have this thread... We as city fans wouldn't buy it but we would take it a bit better than we have

This seems to have escalated!

Clattenberg clearly guessed. That is unforgiveable.
Sometimes refs will make mistakes, but at least they tend to see the things they make mistakes on. If they don't see I t, it's not strictly a mistake if it's not given.
I suspect that MP's comments will produce contact with Red Rag Riley. The trouble is that if you took Clattenberg, East, Madley out of City games, there'd be very few left.

Clearly some form of performance assessment being made public would be interesting to have, apart from anything else, it would make Riley less reclusive. I don't think refs should be called out immediately after a match as they need time to decompress as much as anyone else does.

When Poll criticises you, then you know you're truly fucked.

A question for those who say it 's merely a bad decision or a mistake. You'd assume that mistakes were random and that we'd benefit from some, as well as be the victim. If you're rolling a dice, you might get 3 6's on the run but over the longer term you'd expect a more even distribution wouldn't you? But if you rolled a dice 100 times and 60 of those were 6's, you'd suspect the dice wasn't quite kosher.

We've lost points directly as a result of these 'mistakes'. Yesterday, Sterling v Everton, Aguero v Leicester, the first offside at Spurs are obvious ones and there have been a couple of others. So how many points this season have we rescued as a result of very significant mistakes?

I wouldn't be fascinated by that, but what I would be interested in would be if he came on and said he gave the penalty for handball, for a trip, for holding, for pushing or for wearing a blue shirt. I wouldn't particularly want him nailed to the spot whilst he saw the incident from every angle. At the moment we are left with the unsavoury thought that, if we dispense with the incompetent line, we are left with someone who is bending the Laws of the Game for whatever reason.

Thanks for clearing up the whole 'are people really that dumb' question for me so conclusively. If grasping a simple statement is so far above you then perhaps you could ask a grown up to help...or even a toddler of above average intelligence, one belonging to a neighbour perhaps?

It wasn't a penalty, it was a mistake to award it, he was wrong. Surely you should at least be able to identify with the concept of being wrong, you seem so at ease with the concept?
 
The club should analyse the stats accurately. I saw some data that once suggested City scored the most goals one season but yet were awarded the least number of free kicks but were also the team with the highest number of free kicks awarded against them !

That has to prove that something is a miss.

I want to see all refs be grilled by a lie detector if need be as to who they support.

Anthony Taylor claims to support Altrincham. We all believe that this is not quite true but that he actually supports the Rags.

Linesmen too can have a huge effect on a game. Look at that twat on Sunday. His flag never went up in the first half and yet in the second half he flagged every time we attacked.

As a young man I would endorse finding these cunts and filling them in. I am now much older, wiser and sensible.

So maybe we just do the Bluemoon traditional punishment and find their address and order hookers, concrete, skips, horse shit, pizza at 2am and paint their houses with the words cheating fucking **** lives here

What a lot of City fans, I think, find not a little curious is just how an elite Fifa ref can call penalty for something so obviously not a penalty! I refereed the cream of Gorton and District Sunday League for a few seasons and I would have been swinging from the crossbar at Debdale Park at full time had I given anything approaching that. If he SAW a handball then he needs his fuckin' eyes testing and consequently shouldn't be running up and down a PL football pitch, FIFA badges or not!

I have no answer to that and knowing Debdale Park as well as I do I also wouldn't fancy my chances of getting out of there alive if I'd conducted such a robust defence of an incompetent referee at a Hare and Hounds v Prince of Wales game as I have of Clattenburg on here.
 
Having had a day to stew over this,I have come to the conclusion the cnut clattenberg has (a)guessed it hit sterling on the arm (when in fact it hadn't )b)was swayed by the spurs players but that comes under a again guessing,c) he is a corrupt cheating cnut who knew what he was doing..We get bad decisions every season regarding pens but to be honest you will go along way to find one from the premier league as bad as yesterday's one...
