For years after that Gillingham game my dad and I referred to Halsey as our lucky ref, even though there hasn't been much evidence to back that up! He has always seemed to have a soft spot for City so wish him all the best in his retirement.

If you mean the 5 minutes added against QPR last season, I believe it was Mike Dean who ref'd the game, not Mark Halsey.

About time he is retiring in all truth. As a referee for the last year or 2 he has been dreadful. Just glad our game is not a must win game as he makes wrong calls often.
Good to see him go but fitting in a way it will be at our place for his last game after the Gillingham game.
