Always thought it was a bit obscure that he was nicknamed after a minor, albeit local, United player from the 70s. Not many other nicknames fit his surname though I suppose.

It has been hinted at on a couple of City podcasts that some of the players were not happy that he left, without expanding on why.

I think there was a bit of a gap between him leaving and being appointed at Burnley. Could be gardening leave though.

Always seemed very popular at the club.

Nothing in great detail, just mentioned a couple of times that one of the things - amongst others - that had happened around January, when form was poor, was that "the physio (masseuse?) had left and some players weren't happy about it.
