Talksport entered the controversy surrounding the impending release of Marlon King yesterday. The ex-Wigan player has been serving a sentence for punching and breaking the nose of a woman who spurned his advances in a night club. He also has a string of previous offences to his name. The discussion surrounded the possibility of Coventry signing him up after his release, and the presenter was up in arms, saying footballers are role models, King is on the sex offenders list, and no club should take him on.
