Yes, it’s a funny business, that one. Tim Vickery raved on and on about him. I distinctly remember it. It just shows that footballers aren’t robots, and that scouting is not an exact science. Think of Bony. Think of Mangala!

Apparently this is a common thing with Colombian players of the last few years, they've had a lot of very high potential players just completely give up as soon as they get their move to Europe and a few million guaranteed over the next couple of years.
