It has to be a consideration,but playing a couple of the most talented kids in the country would not have damaged that.Have Marseilles got a chance of qualifying for Europa if so does Pep not have to put a strongish side to keep the integrity of the comp I know it’s UEFA but....

It's the other 2 spots that is more confusing considering Mahrez and Gundogan will likely played United.I don’t think anyone can have an issue with the 9 players that have come in playing, they all need game time and you have to look after the whole squad when everyone is fit like we are. It’s the Gundo and Mahrez options that are baffling.
Clearly Peps plan is to go ahead quickly and make subs early, but how many times have we seen where the game is still 0-0 after 60 mins in a game and Pep still doesn't make subs.
Let's hope even in this useless game that the kids get ATLEAST 45 mins, none of the starters against United need to play more than a half.

Agree totally, however gundo may not start Saturday. Rodri and fern more likely, esp if fern shows he’s back to peak fitness.
