Atkinson did the 3-2 defeat last year, the late van Persie goal game. Failed to give Yaya an advantage when he was clean through at 2-2. Small things. Utd got several of those decisions in key games - at our place, Anfield, and Stamford Bridge (including 3 red cards, an offside winner, and a ridiculously soft peno winner). It was that stretch of games where they pulled away from us, but it might have been a lot different if those small things had gone another way. Was it ever any other way!

Atkinson couldn't help the rags that night... They didn't muster a shot on target.

Isn't it the 4th official who decides added time, also did you ever watch the game back to see if 5 minutes was correct. Gotta agree. Thought otherwise when he let Bardsley cart Silva in the first minute. But then he let tough tackles go both ways.
Good refereeing. Looked at players when they fouled as if to say well you KNOW what's that's for.
