Big welcome from me as well - not going to pretend I know a great deal about him as apart from City I rarely get to watch much football these days through work, especially from Spain/Italy etc.
Seeing at its the position that I felt we were most desperate for top quality cover, I'll trust the judgement of the boss on this one.

He is NOT slower than Lescott!!

Faster than both Lescott and Nastasic, not that pace is the main issue in our defending currently anyway.

He'll do for me (after 2 minutes). Confident coming forward too , something sadly missing in our ranks up to pres.

Be interested to see how he sets in. I cant knock the Nastasic and Kompany pairing I tthink they together will be the best defensive pairing for us. Saying that Demichelis has worked with Pelli and seemed to do really well so this maybe a player Pelli trusts to help out so I am more than happy for Pelli to make this signing you never know it could well be a better signing than we all expected.

Not the same the player at all. Can play the ball, Lescott is nearly as bad as I am witht he ball. Much better tactical awareness which has never been Lescotts strength. Knows the sytem, which is the key.
