Martinez

He's in the spain squad and rightly so, both him and pedro have been outstanding and has definitely been one of the best midfielders in the La Liga this season. Looks like every season he's coming on leaps and bounds. Maturing alot, assessing situations alot better and basically alot more confident as a player. That goal against Almeria was just sublime. Fantastic player, definitely worth taking a risk on at only 21 years old.

Hope we do take the risk.

Todays mirror claims that we have been sent packing when we enquired about Martinez 3 months ago, most likely b/s but who knows

I talked about this player in the Hamsik/gurcouf thread a few weeks back i think. He is worth the risk as he is only 21 and at 6ft 3, one heck of a tall midfielder that can head the ball which we have needed for a long time.

I wikied him on his past and he isn't a prolific goal scorer but when he scores it is with his head mainly. He isn't afraid to run with the ball either so alot better than what we have as creative options.

Once he adapts to the Prem, I think he will be very good.

At 21 he's worth a punt if he doesn't adapt straight away then he's got years and I believe he would be quality at City . Playing just infront of De Jong with Gaz Baz and we'd certainly dominate more games in the middle of the park
