Marvellous

Just watched in on I player. A fantastic story about a remarkable man who is a genuine gentleman, comedian and salt of the earth football fan. Full of humour, emotion and nostalgia.

Just had a look on the oatcake forum to see what they make of this, and Malcolm Clarke(Neils friend in the film) posts on there.

In case anyone doesn't know, Malcolm Clarke is the chair of the FSF. Top bloke too.
Hoping the programme will be on youtube as I cant watch it outside the UK on I player :(

I feel like I'm missing out on something here whats it on and how much tissue do I need?

Its more uplifting than upsetting, although it has its moments. You definitely need to watch it Andy. I think its the first thing in years that mrs stony and I have actually watched together and enjoyed.
Normally one of us is enjoying it whilst the others snipes at it.

Watched it last night on catch up. Great programme, wish it had been longer. How the hell did he blag a meeting with Tony Benn ? how did he get Uriah Rennie to ref a match.

Great watch.

Is it based in a book because I just watched it and would to love more about how he met all these people, a really heart warming story.
