Shit news.
What a great fighter he was.
His fights against Tommy Hearns,and Sugar Ray Leonard are legendary.
That era was the greatest for his weight class.
Duran,Hearns,Leonard and Hagler were the famous 4 ,but there were some brilliant fighters just below them.

Yep, read that. There are so many great boxing books out there. “Hugh Mcillvenney (sp?) on boxing “ is prob my all time fave. Eamonn Magee’s autobiography is a brutal but brilliant read, as is Mike Tyson’s. The Big If about Johnny Owen is superb. Dark Trade, Raging Bull, the list is endless.
