Same people own both bars, Mark is the landlord in Gran Canaria he used to be landlord over here for the first 2 seasons then moved abroad

My mate Paul told me that he was moving from the one over there and considering moving to help run the one in Manc when I saw him at Christmas.

Hes a Leeds fan(hates Stretford Rangers)and I got to know him when I lived in Sheffield when we moved from Manc land.Was best man at his wedding.

Not sure if he is still making the move as not seen him since.

Wouldn't of thought so - mary d-s has 18 months left on a license that isn't being renewed............. same for all the pubs i;m afraid, 3 years time all the drinking will be in house.

Since City Sq nor the stadium bars serve Guiness I'd assume it'll be the same old shite served up whatever is built. It'll be town before and after games for me then!

just seen a bar in Bonanza Square,Benalmadena called the Blue Moon, does anyone know if its blues related,seem to think i've seen it mentioned on here or even in a programme,possibly related to malaga branch supporters club

There is (or was) indeed a City bar in Benalmadena. I was there 9 years ago and stumbled a tiny bar in a square. Walked in and the owner was a Blue!

I made previous post regarding this, was on two week holiday last year found Mary D's pub and thought i had hit the jackpot to go and watch us v the rags ( Game in april when scholes scored with last kick)

Ventured up to the pub early the morning of the game walked in to the bar ordered a couple of drinks speaking to bar man i asked if him the match was on today he asked what game?

I explained the Derby was on etc so he put match on no problme pub filled up only saw one other blue, and certainly from the reaction when they scored it may as well of been Rag supporters club !

Avoid at all costs !
