This might not go down well in some quarters but plenty of football hooligans do actually abide by an unwritten code of conduct where attacks like this on innocent fans are strictly off limits.

Hope you're both doing well? Sorry to read that it was you and your Son. I saw your Son knocked out on the ground. I didn't see the actual incident as I was walking towards the ground along the ginnel and only turned around when I heard the commotion, otherwise I would be happy to give my contact details to you, report the incident to the Police, and give an eyewitness statement.

As the MIBS began running up the ginnel after attacking City fans stood outside the Townley, they did a sharp left, and headed through the estate, and on to the corner Shop (later confirmed), one of the MIBS ran over, apologised, was it to you, and said whoever attacked you and your son was out of order.


Got to speaking to 2 Police officers near the ground. They said the Police had been tracking the MIB's, they had spotters out, but the MIB's had been arriving in singles and small groups to meet up. One of the officers thought many of the MIB's were local lads.

Yes to be fare, or maybe not as they are generally all cunts but I think the ones at the back of the Utd fans did try to help my son but not sure as I was just in panic mode at that stage.

I am not sure if I am the older fella (56) or not but me and my son were walking down the path to the Townley to meet mates when the shithouses came from a side entrance and said "are you City", what all two of us?.

I have a broken jaw but my son fell, hit his head on the floor and was knocked out.

It was the scariest few minutes of my life as it seemed like an eternity before he came round.

Thankfully he seems to be ok but has been kept in hospital for observation.

I didn't think it was possible but I fuckin hate the red bastards even more today than yesterday.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. I could see the police chasing some people in the estate from over the road outside the ground, so I wonder if this was at the back end of the fuss. Hopefully those involved will be dealt with.

No doubt they have got some proper shithouses amongst their support but that last comment is pure hyperbole. My boss was in Rome with his brother for that match and they're as far from trouble causers as you can get so no, they didn't all "deserve everything they got in Rome". The cunts responsible for yesterday's despicable attack do deserve a good kicking though.

We thought it funny at the time but a Chelsea fan came up to me at Wembley and said "are you part of City's firm"
wtf we were just queuing up to go in and singing a bit.
