Mascherano Elbow

All we ask for is consistency!

Masch has swung an elbow there no question, he knew what he was doing. Why no red????

I'm certain another referee (or another player) would have deemed that a red card - and any appeal would have been instantly rejected as it is obvious . Its almost as if they are scared to upset the Sky four.

that was as bad as ive seen.and to make matters worse, delph had not even done anything to him,it was just random and pointless.

I thought Delph was at Villa?

The problem as I see it is the FA does not answer to anybody so they can basically do what they like. They rarely answer specific questions or provide a justified answer to explain why like for like instances are treated differently. Replies in general are long winded waffle that is copied & pasted regardless of the questions asked with the caveat of “welcoming fans input” & "pooling fan comments for review" seen by them as a satisfactory conclusion to any grievance raised.

City being an obvious threat to the top 4 are seemingly being made to suffer for this desire for reasons unknown albeit the press do not help the cause either and exaggerate issues arising from games almost forcing the FAs hand. The Bellamy “punch” for instance which was later shown to be a mere push being another frenzy of excitement for the press at the time with little mention of time keeping by comparison. SWP was banned for three games last season when there were more than 3 or 4 occasions when United players did the exact same thing without recourse. I would almost go so far as to say Bellamy would have been charged from the Derby game had it not been for Neville behaving like a "lunatic" and the alleged coin throwing incident going in our ‘favour’ this time with the scores 2-1 to Utd it ends up with that no action is taken, what a surprise.. It does not sit well with 90% of supporters in the country and suggests corruption and certainly favoritism to certain teams based upon actual evidence that can be presented to show identical incidents are treated differently time after time after time depending on who is involved. Mascherano being the latest, Vidic being another example recently, Gerrard stamp, Rooney stamp, Shearer kung fu kick you could go on all night.

Until the FA become accountable to an external body or the make up of the organisation is changed to exclude any involvement from "top" teams or any teams for that matter then these problems will just continue. Even now, despite FA watch (a fantastic idea) you do not get the impression the FA seems in any way concerned that their integrity is being questioned week on week, its almost like the fans are annoyance rather than the purpose they exist. Sorry for long post!

If Mascherano was done for this i would hope that Beckford would as well because he he goes down that easily i would hate to see him walk down the street when the wind picks up.

The video clearly supports that view, straight from Doctor no's school.

The thing that made me laugh was that the ref was around 10 feet away with an unobstructed view looking straight at him.

All we ask for is consistency in the way that things are dealt with but this seems as far away now as it ever has been.
