I'm taking my Girlfriend's son to his first game tomorrow and I haven't taken a kid to a game for at least 6yrs so I'm a bit out of the loop -

Any tips on how to make it a bit more of an experience for the lad - as in what times the players arrive, if the city kids fan zone is any good or if late arrival to it means it will be full?

(I was gonna just walk to the ground with a few cans, Mary Ds, pie and get to the ground just before kick off but his Mum says no hahaha)

Players usually get to the ground about 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30 before KO so tomorrow you'd probably want to be at West Reception around 16:15 I'd guess.

Let him stand outside the pub for four hours with a bottle of coke and a bag of crisps like I used to.
Failing that, I believe the kids zone is very good but I think you have to pre-book. Could be wrong though

I took my grandson to the kids zone for the Everton game, and it's definitely entry by pre- booked tickets only.

Kids fan zone is brilliant and free of charge. Have to be there right near the start to enter all the raffle draws.
But plenty to keep them entertained and good way to keep out of any poor weather.

Fanzone.
Had a quick peek and tickets available to book on the City site ( they are free)

In tickets, just scroll down to quick links and you should see it.

Deffo worth it with a 6 yo.
