Match discussion - Arsenal (A) WSL - Sunday 8 February KO 12:00

Not a great performance but we've a ton of points in hand and Arsenal away is one of the tougher assignments in this league.

Jade Rose again excellent but not a single one of our attacking talents fired today - hard to win when that happens, and they nullified us well tbh. Our pet cat could've kept goal for Arsenal and would've also had the clean sheet such was the paucity of our efforts that actually got the target.

Leather Leicester at home next week and order will be restored. Bonus today was Coffey looking like a leader in central midfield. We might see Arsenal again in the FA Cup too, but splitting the 2 league games with them is fine enough, and so long as we win the 16 games against the teams outside of the big 4 in this league, there's nothing anyone else can do to get near us.
 
Poor finishing again 1 on target from 8. Get away with it against most teams due to the amount of chances we create but in the tough games, recent Chelsea game excluded, our finishing, just like the mens team, costs us.
 
Arse ladies are royalty to officials in the same way as scum men. That said one shot on target a poor return. Hold our nerve and alls fine.
 
To be fair, Arsenal deserved their win. We weren't on it today, many players underperformed. Luckily we have a bit of a points cushion. Let's get back, regroup and have a chat why so many players weren't up to it. Next week, onwards and upwards. COYB
 
Arsenal weren't great today but deserved the win. If we'd have put in half the effort we did last week then it might've been a different story but we were woeful. So many passes went astray and simple balls not controlled. Yet despite that it's the referee who will dominate the talking points after denying a clear foul and red card for what was as stonewall a DOGSO decision as you're going to get. Very frustrating.

We missed the forward options off the bench today and Viv should've been taken off at the same time as Kerolin as she ghosted through most of that match. Not many, in truth, will get any plaudits today though as it was a very uncharacteristic performance from us.

No Leicester next Friday is the next game, win that and we’re back on track for the title.
 
Ref gave us fucking nothing including a nailed on red card. Every contact on them was given as a foul. The blatent dive in the box first half by Smith not punished. Biggest moment of the game not even being discussed by the Arsenal supporting pundits. It truly makes me both angry and fucking sick to my stomach. Let's hope it means fuck all in the scheme of things and these Arsenal wankers don't qualify for Europe.
Edit. They've now decided its definitely a red card and we should be "disappointed" we didn't get the decision. We'll I'm both livid at being cheated and disgusted we didn't get it. It'll just be swept under the carpet in the Arsenal celebrations.
