Match Fixing in the PL?

How else can you explain var ?

Just one match for example two identical fouls committed at the same time. VAR chooses the one that favours rags.
Rags goalscorer clearly pushes the defender out of the way var ignore it.

I dont see any other explanation than bent, var is bent, refs are bent, so why not players ?

I sometimes wish I could just walk away from football
I did.

Match fixing can take many forms.

One English club are owned by a group who were found guilty of it in another sport.

Some players have loyalty to their agents over their clubs. Either through friendship or paying off huge debts.

Add in the mix of 6 'unknown' club supported refs that make Real Madrid's alleged manipulation of la liga decades ago look normal. The potential manipulation of VAR/Semi automatic offside to determine outcomes for exterior forces. Its difficult not to consider that some games could be fixed to produce certain outcomes.

You can safely say the Rags games over the last 30 years are a mirror of what the Rags of Spain have achieved. Trouble is the Rags are no longer state sponsored and their mirror broke.

Overall result impossible to influence, would need 7 plus of the 11 on the field to be on board. Did happen over a century ago (guess / google which teams involved lol) but not in the EPL. That being said 2 teams go into the final game one needing a point to survive, the other for UCL qualification would either set of players risk it?

As a fan you want them to play for the shirt, as a professional with obligations......I do wonder what would happen. There's a reason overly weakened line ups are not allowed no matter what stage of the season we're at in the rules.

You only need a goalkeeper. Grobelaar was in court over this and I know for a fact that another PL club went to the police as they suspected their keeper was match fixing.

For sure they can let a shot in through the legs but can do nowt if the rest of the team score 6 at the other end. To 100% determine the outcome you'd need more on board surely?

Yes, you'd probably need a few to change the result, but one player could influence the result. An outfield player could give away needless free kicks to the opposition and thus give them a better chance of scoring. Subtlety and all that.
Only the referee can ultimately change the result - and they have done consistently since the Premier League began.

That's true, mind that match where the lad just kicked the ball out for a throw in in under 5 seconds and it turns out you can bet on that?

Can one plyer change a whole game? Perhaps its not that far fetched (100% no suggestion of any foul play here at all)

Where there's a business that's shitting money like Luke Shaw with a dicky tummy, then corruption is inevitable.

I would also add 13 league titles for on of the breakaway's architects in the first 20 years of the PL.

That's even before you add in the variable levels of refereeing in the bestest League in the world!

The closest we've ever got to unveiling something was maybe when the flood lights failed at a game, can't recall the exact details.
Wet spam was one of the teams.
Lights went off with only a few minutes to go. (10?)

If it's close to the end of a match and a player gets himself sent off....
Hmm.

You can bet on a team conceding a certain number if goals.
However, you can skew the overall betting market with one player guaranteeing a piss-poor performance, thus generating lots of small losses for the punters.

The way the rags are reffed reminds me of when I was younger playing Sunday league .
The ref didn’t turn up so one of the opposing teams members ended up refereeing , obviously worlds apart but you just get that same feeling .

It is impossible to do such a thing in a major Cup Final watched all around the world, especially with VAR to correct any on field errors. Maybe in some obscure match in a minor league.
And then not to receive an apology for the obvious error. Only excuses. It would never happen
