Match Fixing in the PL?

The odd player, against PIGMOL and its yank bosses.
I know which one is having a bigger influence.

August 2006. The rags v West Ham.
The Hammers had been 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table with 9 matches to go.
They won 7 of them.
They needed a win on the final day. The GPC played a weakened side and Carlos Tevez scored the winner for West Ham and they stayed up.
His very next club was of course the rags on loan.

Wet spam was one of the teams.
Lights went off with only a few minutes to go. (10?)
I've just posted about West Ham in a different corrupt scenario !
Throw in the very dodgy owners who were mired in corruption allegations regarding the Olympic Stadium and there seems to be a common denominator.

When big money and betting is involved in any sport, cheating is rife.
Football at the top levels is corrupt to the core, and that's before a player kicks a ball. I can understand why some clubs and their players take a bribe and fix a match. They're fighting a losing battle

Even the match officials are all part of the system ? How many have we seen being kicked out or being outed in the media for something outside of the game? they have crossed the line and upset somebody higher up the ladder

I honestly believe that players in the PL aren't corrupt and match fix
Even the least paid will be on a million a year
However, officials who can really influence a game, that's a different question
Lower leagues, where players are paid far less but betting is a free for all, absolutely
To an extent yes. But they can manipulate markets inadvertently through their hangers on. There is stuff on twitter about Garnacho's brother making bets about shots on goal and as he knew the line up he put a rake on Marzoui (however you spell it) who had just been moved upfield.

Outside of that it is a short career, a lot of players are awful with money, an there will be a selection of players who are maybe only playing on the Premier league 1-3 years. If you can make a million pounds for bets like the first throw or the name of new manager/signing people will be tempted. You are not throwing the game, betting companies are scum so for me I can see why people do it.

Watched highlights of Sunderland game yesterday
I was genuinely astonished at the decisions given by Sir AT
I had to stop and playback some ref calls over again as I could not believe my eyes
It was a disgrace...and I made a point of watching the refs body language...quite clear what was going on
