No City goal shortlisted for September Goal Of The Month? All of Sergio's v Wigan were better than Torres v Rags!

If celtic win tomorrow, and that linesman had done his job in the wolves match, and it had been a draw, then my dad has just showed me he would have won 25 grand. Stinker!

Lucky escape in the end though. Out of interest how would you have played it if Wolves had drawn. Would you have tried to get £5k together and put it on hearts to win or draw?
what was hearts odds? 2/1 3/1 maybe?

Probably close to 2/1 for a win/draw. Hard to ifnd it now but I've found one that was 3/1 for draw and 4.5/1 for hearts win so probably slightly better than 2/1.

Edit: about right with just over 2/1, just found one that was 2.25/1 for double chance draw/hearts at Boylesports.

The beauty of that was the fact he hit all three into the exact same point 3" inside the post. On their own, not so impressive.
The build-up play to each of the three goals was "not so impressive"? Are you on the wind-up?

First goal was just clinical. Tevez beats two men, Silva pivots very sweetly, but, maybe the finish was a touch dry. The second had a dozen passes culminating in a one touch backheel and a one touch toe poked throughball. And the third? Silva bamboozles THREE men with pure imagination, hurdling two challenges to deliver an inch perfect throughball.

What makes it annoying is that it was a terrible list. Some of the goals picked were really naff.

It's our fault for actually playing football. Why don't we just shut our eyes and hit it really hard? Crash bang wallop what a video!

Since when has build-up play ever influenced MotD's GotM farce?

If it were, it would be a massively long piece, and our 523-touch goal at Fulham last season would be goal of the century

Agreed. Lazy work again by the MotD team.

Are you for real? Van der Vaart won GotM for a counter-attacking team goal against Villa last season and they would have no doubt nominated the first goal scored by Nani in the Community Shield if it had been scored in a Premier League match.

Ok time for the weekly rant about how we are referenced on this antiquated show.

I'll start...

Hanson is a cnut, bitter 1980's liverpool team tinted glasses cnut.
