No mention of De Bruyne on MOTD.

Our Michael Owen! I nearly fell asleep watching him. Cheer up fella, for fuck's sake. You're playing for God's own club, earning a shit load of cash and have just scored a hat trick.Charismatic fella, our Raheem ain't he?

I'm sure one of the refs on here will confirm this but if he's off the pitch in the normal course of play, then he's considered still to be in play and it's treated as though he's on the goal-line. So Sterling was on-side as there were two players in front of him. If he's had the ref's permission to go off (because he's injured) then he isn't classed as in-play and Sterling would have been offside. Surprised they didn't highlight this on MOTD but then their interpretation of offside tends to be very selective. He was off the pitch though? I'm confused.
There was not 2 defenders between him and the goal line as he was off the pitch so he was offside.I'm sure one of the refs on here will confirm this but if he's off the pitch in the normal course of play, then he's considered still to be in play and it's treated as though he's on the goal-line.
