Match of the Day - 2015/16

No mention of De Bruyne on MOTD.

Sums up their stupid analysis.

To be fair I thought they would mention the penalty incident and the fact our first was offside but if anything they were nothing but complimentary.

He was off the pitch though? I'm confused.
I'm sure one of the refs on here will confirm this but if he's off the pitch in the normal course of play, then he's considered still to be in play and it's treated as though he's on the goal-line. So Sterling was on-side as there were two players in front of him. If he's had the ref's permission to go off (because he's injured) then he isn't classed as in-play and Sterling would have been offside. Surprised they didn't highlight this on MOTD but then their interpretation of offside tends to be very selective.

There was not 2 defenders between him and the goal line as he was off the pitch so he was offside.
