Didn't Shearer totally overlook David Silva in a game we dominated last season? Phil Neville was brought on to MOTD2 to run a feature on how Silva dominated the game, which was obviously after the outcry from City fans. Doesn't look like there will be a repeat tonight though.

Just watching a recording of MOTD2 Extra from yesterday, the panel were discussing the merits of having a "real football man" as Director of Football because of the Sunderland meltdown. Reeled a few names of where it works well: Sammer at Bayern, Alloffs, some other name I forget.
