Match of the Day - 2016/17

Last night's show was very insightful in terms of narratives around matches and teams

During the live commentary Guy Mowbray pretty much called every one of the major incidents how I saw them:
- City's first half excellence
- Their goal probably being more of a Stones/communication issue than a glaring Bravo howler
- Bravo getting the ball v Rooney (though it did fall into the "seen em given" category to me)
- No intent re the Otta "handball"

Then we get to the edit. Masses of the first half missed out, Bravo's fault, nailed on pen/red, handball

There is a definite narrative there with what someone saw and called live being totally changed and re-presented a few hours later

Don't care what you call it (agenda, or whatever) but its absolutely clear to me that City are being deliberately presented in a particular way for a particular purpose

Don't even get me started on Rooney!

Blatant foul on Cahill BUT he was caught dithering so it was his own fault - which is trying to cover up with his moon comment
