If a club appoints one of that lot they can claim to be appointing a manager "with plenty of Premier League or other top level experience". If it turns to rat-shit the club has an excuse.
If they appoint an up and coming manager, either from abroad or from the lower divisions, then the club takes all the blame for appointing someone without PL experience if it goes pear shaped.

I'm starting to think that he either knows where the bodies are buried at the BBC.Or he's been put in a home and for "therapeutic reasons" he's still allowed to commentatate.
